Courier Statement on COVID-19
- Recently, a State of Emergency was declared by Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.
- The governors of the key states in Boston Courier’s service area, which includes all of
- New England, Southern Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, have
- also declared a State of Emergency in these states.
- The purpose of a State of Emergency is to ensure the government and the public are
- prepared for the spread of COVID-19. The State of Emergency allows a state to access
- federal resources, including funding, to treat its population. Declaring a State of
- Emergency also helps limit the spread of COVID-19 by encouraging the general public to
- take precautionary measures, such as:
- Washing your hands
- Seeking medical attention when you are sick
- Staying home when you don’t feel well
- Boston Courier takes the health and safety of our clients and our drivers seriously. To
- ensure seamless service to our clients and do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-
- 19, all drivers are equipped with Hand Sanitizer Products and Gloves for pick up and delivery.
- Boston Courier’s drivers are required to keep their vehicles clean, disinfected where
- applicable, and mechanically sound. Disinfectant products are available to drivers on request.
- Drivers are not allowed to work when they feel ill. Boston Courier has a fully redundant
- courier staff that decreases pressure on our employees to work when they are not
- feeling well while ensuring there is always a courier available to our clients, 24/7/365.
- For the latest information on COVID-19, we encourage you to check the Centers for
- Disease Control Website’s COVID-19 Page.
